Louise and Ed got held their wedding reception at the spectacular Deene Park in Northamptonshire. It was a super fun wedding with no less than 7 Tipi tents, Ed’s very own queen’s guard men, Colin the caterpillar cake and even a real-life black swan! What more could you need! Alcohol? Check! The ceremony

The ceremony took place in Glapthorn church which was 30 secs walk away from Louise’s childhood home. The beautiful bride, her family and bridesmaids made their way through the village with the locals turning out to wish her well and capture a glimpse. The ceremony included a choir performance. It was a very beautiful and emotional occasion, that was full of happiness.

After the ceremony, Ed and Louise received a guard of honour from his Queens Guards (red uniform, big black fuzzy hats, yep THOSE), which was quickly followed by a very savage confetti line (the best!), and we got some awesome photos(check below). The sun shone down as Louise and Ed made their way through the crowds and exited in Ed’s vintage 1960s Land Rover defender.

The Tipi wedding reception

The reception was held 10 minutes away in a beautifully set up tipi reception. Guests drove through the beautiful entrance gate and rolled through Deene Park’s spectacular grounds arriving at lakeside tipi reception, perched next to a lake. Needless to say, Lous and Ed’s guests were overwhelmed as they arrived. The venue is perfect for weddings because of its expansive and beautiful surroundings, and it’s got such a spectacular vibe, especially in the evenings when the sun goes down.

For the reception, the couple had organised a never-ending supply of incredible canapes for their guests, and lots of drinks and everyone had so much fun. Guests were then called through with Louise and Ed’s family forming a receiving line into the wedding breakfast. Guests played pass the parcel and in between courses, winning toy soldiers, mugs and other couple related, yet funny items. This went down well with the guests and we got some great photography of the reactions.

The party

After dinner, they cut the cake with Ed’s ceremonial sword, which actually proved a little tricky! The first dance started in a more traditional sense and then Ed whispered “Spin!” and the couple went for it! The band did an excellent job in keeping the dancefloor packed all evening. Guests partied hard and the vibe was so friendly and hilarious.

Top tip for planning a wedding

Deene Park is an excellent option for weddings. Tipi’s to marquees as the grounds your guests will be entertained in are sumptuous.  The Tipi vibe in the grounds of the stunning Deene park was exceptional.
