My husband, Simon, and I are a dynamic duo immersed in the world of capturing breathtaking weddings. However, the whirlwind of weddings often meant putting family portraits and maternity photography on the back burner. The unexpected gift of time during the 2020 pandemic prompted us to pause, reflect, and recalibrate our business to align with what truly matters to us.
While maintaining the cherished connections with the couples and families we’ve worked with, we are eager to forge new relationships as well. As a working mom with three lively boys of my own, I intimately understand the dynamics and challenges of family life. Coaxing my own kids into conventional smiles has taught me that they’re more likely to pull their trademark silly faces or flash an awkward grin – and that’s perfectly fine. However, these moments don’t truly capture their essence.
That’s why I advocate for family shoots in their natural element – amidst play and genuine interaction. It’s where the magic happens – natural laughter, authentic smiles, and pure, unbridled fun. Family shoots are a joyous adventure for everyone involved, and I thrive on the genuine connections forged during these sessions.
There’s something incredibly heartwarming about knowing the shots we capture will become cherished memories, treasured for a lifetime. It’s these moments that make my heart glow with warmth and fulfilment!
