Hi! We’re Sky Photography
A Husband & Wife Team of 2 Wedding Photographers.
We’re Sky Photography, a husband-and-wife duo, a Midlands based photographer. We specialise in photography and films. We keep it super natural and relaxed, avoiding any awkward or forced poses. We respect it’s your big day and not our photo shoot, too! Our documentary-style approach lets your big day unfold while we work our magic in the background, candidly capturing all the emotion and fun.
As a dynamic photography duo, we can be in two places simultaneously, so no precious moments are missed. Whether it’s the excitement of both of you getting ready or a cheeky pub stop with the lads, we’re all over it! Two photographers mean more coverage, more candid gems, and both sides of the story—your grand aisle entrance, the emotional speeches, all of it. And with our wedding films, you’ll relive the sounds and emotions of your day in motion, forever etched in time!

5 Things we love about Dodmoor House
We’ve captured countless stories at Dodmoor in every weather condition, and we adore the relaxed atmosphere, which perfectly aligns with our approach to capturing weddings.
1. Award-winning team
There are many reasons to fall in love with this beautiful venue. For us, the number one reason is their fantastic team and how attentive they are on your wedding day. We work at a lot of wedding venues but the team at Dodmoor House is as good as they come and they have the awards to prove it!
2. Beautiful Rustic Charm
Dodmoor is a very pretty, cosy venue that gives off homely, warm vibes. It is a family-run venue, and you can tell this with all the character on show. The beautifully well-appointed rustic barns make this venue an excellent backdrop for weddings.
3. Beautiful Year round grounds, Canals and Sunsets
Lawns and Driveway
The Apple tree driveway leading up to the house is an established feature of Dodmoor House and a great location for couple photos and group shots. The lawn in front of the house is a great place to host a drinks reception and garden games. The grounds are well established, with large trees and shrubs, all very good at generating some shade, which is perfect for group photos and couple portraits.
Country Lanes and a Canal!
Surrounding the venue, you’ll find picturesque country lanes with beautiful rolling views. Even a section of the Grand Union Canal boasts a charming traditional brick humpback bridge. We’ve even had brides invited on to boats for a quick trip. These are definitely must-see photo spots!
Gorgeous Sunsets
We adore the golden hour and sunsets that can be captured at Dodmoor. The sunsets on the western side of the venue, when timed correctly, can create mesmerising images.
4. Great Wedding Suppliers
Unlike some wedding venues, Dodmoor handpicks its suppliers based on the exceptional service they provide and the high quality of their work. This strategic approach is wise because a successful wedding day is the culmination of a collaborative effort by multiple suppliers working as a team.
5. Evening Ambience
During the day, the layered inner courtyard is a sight to behold, adorned with vibrant lavender and flowers. But come nightfall, it transforms into the perfect venue for a wedding. The beautifully festooned courtyard, bathed in the warm glow of delicate fairy lights and flickering fire tubes, creates an enchanting atmosphere that welcomes guests of all weathers.

Let’s get CREATIVE!
Your Big Day, Not Our Photoshoot!
Our Approach to Wedding Photography
We capture real moments, telling your wedding story naturally as it happens. Without any of that staged fuss, like chinking glasses to a posed photo and pretending to do some cheesy pose. Instead, we blend in with your guests without drawing attention or interfering.
We capture your guests naturally, telling the real story of your day with lots of emotion, laughter, and fun. You’ll get hundreds of beautiful, lively photos of your wedding day without even noticing us!
Don’t worry, you can still give us a list of the important family and friends group photos to take, but we’ll be efficient so you are back with your guests in no time.
We’ll also capture some beautiful photos of just the two of you, perfect for hanging around your home! We’ll step away for a bit, no awkward poses—just the two of you taking a quick break before joining your wedding again.
All very simple, and no awkwardness. Isn’t this how wedding photography should be?
